Year-Long Collaborative Watershed Plan Completed

August 1, 2007 – The Watershed Working Group is pleased to announce the completion of the Watershed Plan for Grand Junction and Palisade Municipals.
 
The Watershed Plan is a communications tool designed for an understanding between the local and the energy industry."We’re very excited to finalize this plan with everybody, it has increased communication between Genesis and communities."   The Watershed plan outlines the roles and regulations lead and cooperating regulatory agencies as well as additional voluntary best management practice Genesis and Oil LLC has agreed to follow.
 
Key Components of the plan includes the partial funding from Genesis for a third-party hydrology study for the Town of Palisade Municipal watershed and collaborative plans of development. Through this year-long process Genesis has been pleased to work with the community, they look forward to the continuing effort for drilling. "We enjoy the people and will continue to work through this process."
 
The Watershed working group is composed of representatives from the public, City of Grand Junction, Town of Palisade, Bureau of Land Management, Mesa County, and Genesis Gas and Oil LLC.
